Potato Gratin Bake Recipe

A Hearty and delicious recipe for potato gratin bake, this dish is great served with sour cream.


4-6 large potatoes, peeled
1 cup heavy cream
1 Tablespoon flour
2/3 cup shredded cheese
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
Salt and pepper, to season
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 2L (8-cup) capacity baking dish with butter.

Thinly slice the potatoes crossways.

Arrange a layer of potato slices over the base of the dish, overlapping slightly.

Whisk flour into cream so no lumps remain.

Drizzle cream over potatoes and sprinkle with onions and 2 tablespoons cheese.

Season with salt and pepper. Repeat to make 3 more layers, finishing with a layer of cheese.

Bake in oven for 1 hour or until the potato is tender and the top is golden.

Set aside for 10 minutes to stand. Sprinkle parsley.
