Wow! How hot do you like your wings? This red hot chicken wings recipe is for a crispy oven baked hot wing that will wake up your taste buds.
Preheat the oven to 500°F.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease with vegetable or olive oil.
Rinse the wings in cold water and dry with paper towels.
Lightly season the wings with salt and pepper.
Place the wings onto the prepared baking sheet, single layer and leaving a little space between each one.
Place onto the lowest rack in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until cooked through and crispy.
Turn the wings over at least once.
Once the wings are cooked through, if you want them to be more crispy, move the pan up to a higher rack for a couple of minutes, but watch them very carefully so you do not burn them.
Remove from the oven and transfer the wings to a bowl.
Stir together the red hot sauce and margarine in
a small sauce pan and heat the sauce, stirring.
Drizzle the sauce over the wings and toss to coat.
Serve with extra hot sauce for dipping if desired.
