A simple all time favorite meal that you can whip up in a hurry. This meal smells amazing when cooking and is excellent served with some sour cream.
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Grease a Dutch oven lightly with butter.
Cut the sausage into 4 pieces.
Melt the butter in the Dutch oven. Add the onions and cook for 4-5 minutes until transparent.
Meanwhile, open the can of sauerkraut and rinse.Squeeze out the excess water.
Add the sauerkraut to the cooked onions and stir in cooking over low heat for 5 minutes. Shut off the heat.
Place the sausage on top of the sauerkraut.
Arrange the potatoes on top of the sauerkraut as well.
Place the Dutch oven into the preheated oven and bake for 35-45 minutes until the potatoes are cooked through.
Serve hot.
