Preheat oven to 375 degrees
For the pastry, Crumble the flour, baking powder sugar salt and crisco together, then add milk and eggs. work dough and roll out thin. use a tart cutter to cut out rounds and place them in lightly oiled muffin tins.
Distribute the chopped walnuts evenly into the tart pastries.
Mix together eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, butter, and a dash of salt.
Fill cups 3/4 full with egg mixture.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until the center of tarts are puffed up and the edges are starting to turn golden in color.
Remove from tins. Serve warm, or let them cool on a wire rack.
