Grilled Steak
This grilled steak recipe would go very well with one of Grandmother's Kitchen roasted potatoes recipes and a fresh salad.

Ingredients
- Choose a one inch thick steak of any of these varieties:
- Rib-Eye, Filet,Porterhouse,T-bone, New York Strip Steak
- Number of steaks depends on how many you are cooking for, but the process of how to cook is explained below for one steak.
- Black Pepper, fresh ground
- Cayene Pepper
- Garlic Salt
Salt
- Olive Oil
- 1 Tablespoon butter
Directions
- To bring out the full flavor in your steak allow it to sit at room temperature for around 30 minutes prior to cooking.
- Preheat your gas grill for 10 minutes.
- Place the steak onto a plate and using a pastry brush, paint the olive oil onto all sides of the steak.
- Lightly sprinkle the steak with black pepper, cayenne papper, garlic salt, and salt.
- Do this on both sides of the steak.
- Place onto the preheated grill.
Medium
- Using high direct heat place the steak onto the grill grate, close the lid and cook about 5 minutes. Flip the steak use the pastry brush to put one tablespoon of butter on the steak and close the lid. Cook for 5 more minutes, check for doneness. Cooking times will vary with grills and times will vary, but this should produce a medium steak.
Well Done
- Keep cooking and cut into the meat to see if it is as done as you like.
- Serve hot.
