Creamy Hazelnut Butter Cups
A great recipe for creamy hazelnut butter cups. These are a great treat.

Ingredients
- Hazelnut Butter
- 1/2 cup hazelnut butter (or any other nut butter)
- 2 tablespoons butter, room temperature
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Chocolate Coating
- 2 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 1 tablespoon shortening
Directions
- Have ready fancy silicone baking cups for 24 mini muffins.
- Place the hazelnut butter, butter, and salt in a microwaveable bowl. Heat in the microwave until quite soft about 30-60 seconds. Stir in the confectioners sugar.
- Melt the chocolates and shortening in a heatproof bowl, placed over a saucepan of simmering water.
- Spoon about one teaspoon of the melted chocolate into each of the cup. Tap the pan gently on the counter to smooth out the chocolate. Spoon (or pipe) a teaspoon of the hazelnut butter mixture on top of the chocolate. Then fill with melted chocolate. Gently smooth out the peanut butter cups.
