Baked BonChon Crispy Chicken Wings

Baked BonChon Crispy Chicken Wings

Ingredients

For marinating the wings

Paprika

Salt

Pepper

For the sauce

(for about 50 chicken wings)

  • 4 Tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 8 Tablespoons of rice vinegar
  • 6 Tablespoons of kimchee base
  • 8 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 Teaspoon minced ginger
  • 6 Tablespoons of honey
  • 2 Tablespoons of dark brown sugar

Directions

  1. You will need to marinate the wings for about a day.
  2. Then, preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  3. Arrange the chicken on racks that are placed over baking sheets and put in to bake for 40-45 minutes, until you see the skin looks crispy.
  4. While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce and whisk The sauce ingredients together.
  5. Put it on the stove around 15 minutes before the wings are finished baking, on simmer/medium low mode. Stir frequently, reducing the sauce. You should be checking for a consistency much like that of maple syrup.
  6. After the wings are done, place them in a bowl with a lid, pour the sauce one tablespoon at a time, and shake the bowl after each addition of sauce. Make sure that all wings are equally coated. You may need to divide the wings into separate batches to coat them well and serve.
